Explanatory note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice, which comes into force on 1 June 2009, approves new standards for providing hospital care, residential disability care, and rest home care.

The notice revokes—

• the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Hospital Care, Residential Disability Care, and Rest Home Care Standards Notice 2002, which approved 4 earlier standards; and

• the approval of those standards.
