Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section 92(1) and (2) of the Fire Service Act 1975, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
These regulations are the Fire Safety and Evacuation of Buildings Amendment Regulations 2008.
These regulations come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette.
These regulations amend the Fire Safety and Evacuation of Buildings Regulations 2006.
Regulation 16(2)(a) is amended by omitting “NZS 4541:2003”
and substituting “NZS 4541:2007”
.
The item relating to ecotoxic in Part 1 of Schedule 2 is omitted.
Paragraph 10 of Form 1 of Schedule 4 is amended by omitting “List each hazardous substance and approximate quantities of each substance”
and substituting “List the approximate aggregate quantity of hazardous substances with each relevant hazard classification against that classification”
.

These regulations, which come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette, make minor and technical amendments to the Fire Safety and Evacuation of Buildings Regulations 2006.
