New Zealand Legislation: Regulations

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 25 January 2009, prescribe—

• the ground for requesting a non-disclosure direction to be made, or to be reinstated, under the Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Relationships Registration Act 1995; and

• the period during which a non-disclosure direction remains in force.
