Pursuant to section 22 of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, the Minister of Conservation gives the following notice.
This notice is the Marine Mammals Protection (Banks Peninsula Sanctuary) Amendment Notice (No 2) 2008.
This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
This notice amends the Marine Mammals Protection (Banks Peninsula Sanctuary) Notice 1988.
The definitions of flounder area, flounder net, and set net in clause 2 are revoked.
(1) Clauses 4 to 6 are revoked.
(2) Schedule 2 is consequentially revoked.

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice, which comes into force the day after notification in the Gazette, revokes provisions of the Marine Mammals Protection (Banks Peninsula Sanctuary) Notice 1988 that impose restrictions on fishing activities within the sanctuary created by that notice.
