Pursuant to section 167(1)(fa) of the Land Transport Act 1998, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
These regulations are the Land Transport (Offences and Penalties) Amendment Regulations (No 2) 2008.
These regulations come into force on 23 January 2009.
These regulations amend the Land Transport (Offences and Penalties) Regulations 1999.
The definition of provision in regulation 2 is amended by adding “; or”
and also by adding the following paragraph:
“(c) a section of the Land Transport Management Act 2003”.
Schedule 1 is amended by inserting the heading and item set out in the Schedule of these regulations above the heading “Dangerous Goods 2005 (45001/1):”

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 23 January 2009, amend the Land Transport (Offences and Penalties) Regulations 1999. Regulation 5 and the Schedule amend Schedule 1 of the principal regulations to provide for an infringement fee of $40 for failure or refusal to pay a toll for the use of a toll road.
