Pursuant to section 94 of the Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title
  • These regulations are the Immigration Advisers Licensing Amendment Regulations 2009.

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 11 June 2009.

3 Principal regulations amended
4 Application fee
5 New regulation 5A inserted
  • The following regulation is inserted after regulation 5:

    5A Fee for renewal of licence
    • (1) The fee to accompany an application for renewal of a licence is $890.

      (2) This regulation applies subject to regulation 6.

6 No application fee payable for not-for-profit operations
  • (1) The heading to regulation 6 is amended by inserting or renewal fee after fee.

    (2) Regulation 6(1) is amended by omitting or 5(1) and substituting , 5(1), or 5A(1).

    (3) Regulation 6(2) is amended by omitting or 5(1) and substituting , 5(1), or 5A(1).

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 11 June 2009, prescribe the fee to accompany an application for the renewal of an immigration adviser's licence.
