Pursuant to section 91M(1) of the Education Act 1989, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title

  • This order is the Education (Extension of Application Period) Order 2009.

2 Commencement

  • This order comes into force on 1 November 2009.

3 Extension of application period for payment of teacher salaries

  • The application period referred to in Part 8A of the Education Act 1989 is extended to 30 December 2012.

4 Revocation

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 November 2009, extends the period during which the salaries of teachers employed at state schools will be paid in accordance with Part 8A of the Education Act 1989. As extended by this order, that period expires with the close of 30 December 2012.
