Pursuant to section 218 of the Land Transport Act 1998, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title
  • These regulations are the Goods Service Vehicle (Constructional) Amendment Regulations 2009.

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 1 November 2009.

3 Principal regulations amended
4 Regulation 9 revoked

Michael Webster,
for Clerk of the Executive Council.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations revoke a regulation, regulation 9, that requires the name or trade name and the business address of the holder of a goods service licence to be displayed on vehicles that are used regularly under the authority of the licence. Since 1 August 2009, a licensee has been required to display a transport service licence card on the vehicles. The card shows the transport service licence number, the name of the licence holder, a unique identification number, and the type of licence. The display of information required by regulation 9 is, therefore, unnecessary.

The regulations come into force on 1 November 2009.

Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.

Date of notification in Gazette: 1 October 2009.

These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Transport.
