Gas (Safety and Measurement) Regulations 2010

55 Certification requirements for gas appliances and specified fittings

(1)

A gas appliance and specified fittings are certified for the purposes of regulation 54(3) if—

(a)

the appliance or fittings are certified by a body specified in clause 1 of Schedule 2A; and

(b)

the body certifies the appliance or fittings to the standard, and complying with any conditions, specified in Schedule 2A for that body and that type of appliance or fittings; and

(c)

the certification was valid at the time the appliance or fittings were manufactured in, or imported into, New Zealand.

(2)

However, in the case of specified fittings for which WorkSafe, under regulation 64, has specified an alternative time at which the certification must be valid, the certification must be valid at that time and subclause (1)(c) does not apply.
