Heavy Motor Vehicle Amendment Regulations 2010

Pursuant to section 218 of the Land Transport Act 1998, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title
  • These regulations are the Heavy Motor Vehicle Amendment Regulations 2010.

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 1 May 2010.

3 Principal regulations amended
4 Schedule 4A amended
  • Schedule 4A is amended by—

    • (a) omitting from the third item continuous permit and substituting continuous or high-productivity motor vehicle permit; and

    • (b) omitting from the fourth item continuous permit and substituting continuous or high-productivity motor vehicle permit.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 May 2010, amend the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974. The amendments change continuous permit to continuous or high-productivity motor vehicle permit in the third and fourth items of Schedule 4A to accommodate amendments made to Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Dimensions and Mass 2002.
