Pursuant to section 32 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.


1 Title
  • This order is the Ombudsmen Act (Schedule 1—Learning State Limited) Order 2010.

2 Commencement
  • This order comes into force on 1 July 2010.

3 Part 2 of Schedule 1 of Ombudsmen Act 1975 amended
  • Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is amended by inserting the following item in its appropriate alphabetical order: Learning State Limited.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 July 2010, inserts the name Learning State Limited into Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975. The effect of the order is that, on and after 1 July 2010, both the Ombudsmen Act 1975 and the Official Information Act 1982 will apply to Learning State Limited.
