Pursuant to section 67B of the Fisheries Act 1996, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title
  • This order is the Fisheries (Schedules 5, 5A, and 6) Amendment Order 2010.

2 Commencement
  • This order comes into force on 30 September 2010.

3 Principal order amended
4 New clause 2 substituted
  • Clause 2 is revoked and the following clause substituted:

    2 Commencement
    • (1) Clause 4 of this order comes into force on 1 October 2011.

      (2) The rest of this order comes into force on 1 October 2010.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 30 September 2010, amends the Fisheries (Schedules 5, 5A, and 6) Order 2010 (principal order).

The amendment replaces the commencement clause to clarify that clause 4 of the principal order comes into force on 1 October 2011. Clause 4 inserts a reference to southern bluefin tuna into Schedule 5A of the Fisheries Act 1996.
