Pursuant to section 46(1) of the Land Transport Management Act 2003, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport made in accordance with section 46(5) of that Act, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title
  • This order is the Land Transport Management (Road Tolling Scheme for ALPURT B2) Amendment Order 2010.

2 Commencement
  • This order comes into force on 21 January 2011.

3 Principal order amended
4 Setting of tolls
  • (1) Regulation 9 is amended by adding the following subclause:

    • (7) A toll that is adjusted under subclause (3) must be rounded as follows:

      • (a) if the cents portion of the toll ends in 6, 7, 8, or 9, the toll must be rounded up to the nearest 10 cents:

      • (b) if the cents portion of the toll ends in 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, the toll must be rounded down to the nearest 10 cents.

    (2) Regulation 9(5) is amended by inserting the after includes.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 21 January 2011, amends regulation 9 of the Land Transport Management (Road Tolling Scheme for ALPURT B2) Order 2005 to allow tolls that have been adjusted by the increase in the CPI to be rounded (a toll with cents ending in 6 to 9 must be rounded up to the nearest 10 cents and a toll with cents ending in 1 to 5 must be rounded down to the nearest 10 cents).
