Pursuant to section 32 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title
  • This order is the Ombudsmen Act (Schedule 1—Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority) Order 2011.

2 Commencement
  • This order comes into force on 29 March 2011.

3 Part 1 of Schedule 1 of Ombudsmen Act 1975 amended
  • Part 1 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is amended by inserting the following item in its appropriate alphabetical order: Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 29 March 2011, amends Part 1 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 (which lists government departments to which that Act applies) by inserting the name of a new department, called the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority.
