Residential Tenancies Amendment Rules 2011

Pursuant to section 116 of the Residential Tenancies Act 1986, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following rules.

Rules

1  Title
  • These rules are the Residential Tenancies Amendment Rules 2011.

2  Commencement
  • These rules come into force on 20 June 2011.

3  Principal rules amended
4  Application of rules
  • Rule 4 is amended by adding the following subclause as subclause (2):

    • (2) To avoid doubt, these rules also apply to proceedings for a unit title dispute within the meaning of section 171(1) of the Unit Titles Act 2010.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the rules, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These rules, which come into force on 20 June 2011, amend the Residential Tenancies Rules 2010.

To avoid doubt, the amendment clarifies that the Residential Tenancies Rules 2010 also apply to proceedings for a unit title dispute within the meaning of section 171(1) of the Unit Titles Act 2010.
