Pursuant to section 68 of the Biosecurity Act 1993, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture, makes the following order.

Order

1  Title
  • This order is the Biosecurity (National Bovine Tuberculosis Pest Management Strategy) Amendment Order (No 2) 2011.

2  Commencement
  • This order comes into force on the date on which it is notified in the Gazette.

4  Interpretation
  • The definition of cattle in clause 2(1) is amended by omitting artiodactyla Bovidae and substituting family Bovidae, subfamily Bovinae.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

The principal order defines cattle in a way that includes sheep. This order corrects the definition. It comes into force when it is notified in the Gazette.
