Pursuant to section 32 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title
  • This order is the Ombudsmen Act (Schedule 1—Dispute Resolution Services Limited) Order 2011.

2 Commencement
  • This order comes into force on 1 July 2011.

3 Part 2 of Schedule 1 of Ombudsmen Act 1975 amended
  • Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is amended by inserting the following item in its appropriate alphabetical order: Dispute Resolution Services Limited.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 July 2011, inserts the name Dispute Resolution Services Limited into Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975. The effect of the order is that both the Ombudsmen Act 1975 and the Official Information Act 1982 will continue to apply to Dispute Resolution Services Limited after it has ceased to be a Crown entity subsidiary of the Accident Compensation Corporation.
