Pursuant to section 32 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title
  • This order is the Ombudsmen Act (Schedule 1—Southern Response Earthquake Services Limited) Order 2012.

2 Commencement
  • This order comes into force on 18 April 2012.

3 Part 2 of Schedule 1 of Ombudsmen Act 1975 amended
  • In the Ombudsmen Act 1975, Schedule 1, Part 2, insert in its appropriate alphabetical order Southern Response Earthquake Services Limited.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 18 April 2012, inserts the name Southern Response Earthquake Services Limited into Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975. The effect of the order is that both the Ombudsmen Act 1975 and the Official Information Act 1982 will apply to Southern Response Earthquake Services Limited.
