Pursuant to section 297 of the Fisheries Act 1996, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.


1 Title
  • These regulations are the Fisheries (Infringement Offences) Amendment Regulations 2012.

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 3 January 2013.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 3 January 2013, amend the part of Schedule 1 of the Fisheries (Infringement Offences) Regulations 2001 that relates to the Fisheries (Challenger Area Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986 (the amateur fishing regulations).

The amendment inserts a reference to an offence inserted in the amateur fishing regulations by the Fisheries (Challenger Area Amateur Fishing) Amendment Regulations (No 2) 2012.
