Pursuant to section 2(1) of the Juries (Jury Service and Protection of Particulars of Jury List Information) Amendment Act 2012, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title
  • This order is the Juries (Jury Service and Protection of Particulars of Jury List Information) Amendment Act Commencement Order 2013.

2 Commencement of Parts 1 and 2 of Juries (Jury Service and Protection of Particulars of Jury List Information) Amendment Act 2012
  • Parts 1 and 2 of Juries (Jury Service and Protection of Particulars of Jury List Information) Amendment Act 2012 come into force on 29 April 2013.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings Parts 1 and 2 of the Juries (Jury Service and Protection of Particulars of Jury List Information) Amendment Act 2012 into force on 29 April 2013. Those Parts make to the Juries Act 1981 amendments relating to jury service and to protection of particulars of jury list information. Related changes to the Jury Rules 1990 are also made on 29 April 2013 by the Jury (Jury Service and Protection of Particulars of Jury List Information) Amendment Rules 2013.
