Land Transport (Offences and Penalties) Amendment Regulations 2013

Pursuant to section 167 of the Land Transport Act 1998, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title
  • These regulations are the Land Transport (Offences and Penalties) Amendment Regulations 2013.

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 1 June 2013.

4 Schedule 1 amended
  • In Schedule 1, under the heading Land Transport (Road User) Rule 2004 (61001), after the item relating to clause 8.5(1), insert:

    8.5(1B) 

    Drive agricultural motor vehicle without using 1 or more amber beacons

    Drive agricultural trailer without using 1 or more amber beacons on trailer or implement

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 June 2013, update the Land Transport (Offences and Penalties) Regulations 1999 to take account of changes in the law dealing with the use of amber beacons on agricultural motor vehicles. The changes were introduced by amendments to the Land Transport (Road User) Rule 2004 (see the Land Transport (Road User) Amendment Rule 2013).
