Pursuant to section 339 of the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title
  • These regulations are the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act (Disciplinary Tribunal) (Fees) Amendment Regulations 2013.

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 1 July 2013.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 2013, amend the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act (Disciplinary Tribunal) Regulations 2008 to increase, from $316.70 to $320, the fee payable to the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal (the Disciplinary Tribunal) for—

  • an appeal to the Disciplinary Tribunal under section 42 of the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006 (the Act):

  • an application by a person for restoration of his or her name to the roll under section 246(1) of the Act:

  • an application by a person for restoration of his or her name to the register under section 246(2) of the Act:

  • an application under section 247(1) of the Act for the revocation of an order made under section 242(1)(h) of the Act:

  • an application for consent to employ a person under section 248 of the Act.
