Pursuant to sections 198 and 339(g) of the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title
  • These regulations are the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act (Legal Complaints Review Officer) Form and Fee Amendment Regulations 2013.

2 Commencement
  • These regulations come into force on 1 July 2013.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 2013, amend the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act (Legal Complaints Review Officer) Form and Fee Regulations 2008 to increase from $30 to $50 (inclusive of goods and service tax) the fee that must accompany an application to the Legal Complaints Review Officer for a review of a decision by a standards committee. The amendment implements a change to civil fees as a result of the civil fees review by the Ministry of Justice.
