This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 5 August 2013, authorises the Chief Parliamentary Counsel to print legislation in hard copy form.
Section 6 of the Legislation Act 2012 requires the Chief Parliamentary Counsel to publish legislation electronically. This is done on the Parliamentary Counsel Office's New Zealand Legislation website (www.legislation.govt.nz). The printing of legislation for the public can be authorised or directed by Order in Council. A list of places where printed legislation can be bought is located on the Parliamentary Counsel Office's corporate website (www.pco.parliament.govt.nz).
