These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Social Development.

Pursuant to section 132AC of the Social Security Act 1964, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Social Security (Childcare Assistance) Amendment Regulations (No 2) 2013.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 15 July 2013.

3 Principal regulations

These regulations amend the Social Security (Childcare Assistance) Regulations 2004 (the principal regulations).

4 Regulation 3 amended (Interpretation)

In regulation 3(1), revoke the definition of job seeker agreement.

5 Regulation 15 amended (Activities in respect of which childcare subsidy available under regulation 14)
6 Regulation 21 amended (Activities in respect of which OSCAR subsidy available under regulation 22)

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 15 July 2013, amend the Social Security (Childcare Assistance) Regulations 2004. Provisions on job seeker development activities under job seeker agreements in force at the close of 26 September 2010 are revoked. These revocations are consequential on the repeal of section 102A(1)(h) of the Social Security Act 1964 on 15 July 2013 by sections 2(1)(b) and 131(2) of the Social Security (Benefit Categories and Work Focus) Amendment Act 2013.
