These rules, which come into force on 19 August 2013, update the forms set out in the Care of Children (International Child Abduction) (Forms) Rules 2005. The updating is necessary to ensure that the language used in the forms reflects the fact that, when the Marriage (Definition of Marriage) Amendment Act 2013 comes into force, same-sex marriages will be possible. As a consequence, the parents referred to in these forms will not necessarily be a mother and a father.
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
Date of notification in Gazette: 18 July 2013.
These rules are administered by the Ministry of Justice.
