These regulations are administered by the Ministry for the Environment.

Pursuant to sections 75 and 76 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government makes the following regulations, acting—

(a)

on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and

(b)

on the recommendation of the Minister for the Environment made after complying with section 141(1) of that Act.
