Pursuant to section 186A of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister for Primary Industries, after complying with the requirements of that section, gives the following notice.

  • This notice is the Fisheries (Marsden Bank Temporary Closure) Revocation Notice 2014.

2 Commencement
  • This notice comes into force on 1 October 2014.

3 Fisheries (Marsden Bank Temporary Closure) Notice 2012 revoked
4 Revocation of this notice
  • This notice is revoked on 1 November 2014.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice, which comes into force on 1 October 2014, revokes the Fisheries (Marsden Bank Temporary Closure) Notice 2012 (the 2012 notice). The 2012 notice prohibited the taking of pipi from Marsden Bank. The 2012 notice is no longer necessary as the Fisheries (Marsden Bank and Mair Bank, Closure of Pipi Fishery) Notice 2014 prohibits the taking of pipi from Marsden Bank from 1 October 2014 onwards. This notice is revoked on 1 November 2014.
