This note is not part of the rules, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These rules amend the Chartered Professional Engineers of New Zealand Rules (No 2) 2002 to replace the charges payable in relation to registration and the issue of a registration certificate. These rules come into force in 2 stages.

The first stage commences on the day after the date of the notification of the rules in the Gazette. This stage updates the charge for a registration certificate issued for 1 year commencing on 1 January.

The second stage commences on 1 January 2015 and updates the rest of the charges payable in relation to registration and the issue of a registration certificate.

The effect of the 2 stages is to allow the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand Incorporated to charge its members for a new annual registration certificate at the updated rate prior to 1 January 2015. All other charges will remain at the old rates until that date.

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.
