These regulations are made under sections 38 and 100 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Civil Aviation Charges Regulations (No 2) 1991 Amendment Regulations (No 2) 2016.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 6 December 2016.

3 Principal regulations

These regulations amend the Civil Aviation Charges Regulations (No 2) 1991 (the principal regulations).

4 Regulation 20 amended (International passenger security charges)

In regulation 20(1), in the table, replace the item relating to departures on or after 1 April 2016 with:

On or after 1 April 2016 but before 6 December 2016$10.58
On or after 6 December 2016$10.01
5 Regulation 20A amended (Domestic passenger security charges)

In regulation 20A(1), in the table, replace the item relating to the carriage of passengers on or after 1 April 2016 with:

On or after 1 April 2016 but before 6 December 2016$3.65
On or after 6 December 2016$5.81

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations amend the Civil Aviation Charges Regulations (No 2) 1991 to increase, with effect from 6 December 2016, the domestic passenger security charge per carriage of passenger from $3.65 to $5.81 and decrease the international passenger security charge per departure from $10.58 to $10.01. They come into force on 6 December 2016.
