Biofuel Bill
Hon David Parker, in Committee, to move as follows:
That the enacting words, clauses 1 and 2, Part 1, and Schedules 1 and 1A be a separate Bill, and that for the enacting words, clauses 1 and 2, and the Part 1 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
This Act is the Energy (Fuels, Levies, and References) Amendment Act 2008.
This Act comes into force on 1 October 2008.
That clauses 18 to 21, the Part 2 heading, the cross-heading above clause 18, and Schedule 2 be a separate Bill, and that for the Part 2 heading and the cross-heading above clause 18 there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
This Act is the Customs and Excise Amendment Act 2008.
This Act comes into force on 1 October 2008.
That clauses 21A and 22, the cross-heading above clause 21A, and Schedules 3 and 4 be a separate Bill, and that for the cross-heading above clause 21A there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
This Act is the Tariff Amendment Act 2008.
(1) Schedule 4 comes into force immediately after the commencement of the Tariff Amendment Order 2008 (SR 2008/221).
(2) The rest of this Act comes into force on 1 October 2008.
That clauses 23 to 41 and the cross-heading above clause 23 be a separate Bill, and that for the cross-heading above clause 23 there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:

This Act is the Local Government Act 1974 Amendment Act 2008.
This Act comes into force on 1 October 2008.
This motion divides the Biofuel Bill into 4 separate Bills.
