Domestic Violence (Enhancing Safety) Bill
Hon Simon Power, in Committee, to move as follows:
That the enacting words, clauses 1 and 2, Part 1, and the Schedule be a separate Bill, and that for the enacting words, clauses 1 and 2, and the Part 1 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
This Act is the Domestic Violence Amendment Act 2009.
(1) Section 7 comes into force on 1 July 2010.
(2) The rest of this Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
That Part 2 be a separate Bill, and that for the Part 2 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:

This Act is the Sentencing Amendment Act 2009.
This Act comes into force on 1 July 2010.
That Part 3 be a separate Bill, and that for the Part 3 heading there be substituted the following enacting words and clauses:
The Parliament of New Zealand enacts as follows:
This Act is the Bail Amendment Act 2009.
This Act comes into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent.
This Supplementary Order Paper divides the Domestic Violence (Enhancing Safety) Bill into the following 3 Bills:
the Domestic Violence Amendment Bill:
the Sentencing Amendment Bill:
the Bail Amendment Bill.
