Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper amends the National Animal Identification and Tracing Amendment Bill (No 2) to—

  • correct an error in the amount of the maximum fine payable by a body corporate for contravening requirements in regulations made under the National Animal Identification and Tracing Act 2012 (the Act) relating to the fitting of NAIT devices; and

  • remove an incorrect reference to NAIT officer in new regulation 4A(3) of the National Animal Identification and Tracing (Fees and Forms) Regulations 2012.
