Proposed amendments to Supplementary Order Paper No 39

Clayton Mitchell, in Committee, to move the following amendments:

Clause 7

In clause 7, new section 69AB(b) (page 11), replace “5 working days” with “10 working days”.

In clause 7, new section 69ABE(1) (page 13), replace “5 working days” with “10 working days”.

In clause 7, new section 69ABEA(1)(e) (page 14), replace “5 working days” with “10 working days”.

In clause 7, new section 69ABF(1)(a) (page 14), replace “5 working days” with “10 working days”.

In clause 7, new section 69ABG(4)(a) and (b) (page 15), replace “5 working days” with “10 working days”.

Explanatory note

The purpose of this Supplementary Order Paper is to extend the time within which an employer is required to deal with a request for flexible working short-term for people affected by domestic violence from 5 working days to 10 working days.
