Explanatory note

This Supplementary Order Paper amends the Electoral (Integrity) Amendment Bill. It amends clause 5 to increase the threshold for caucus agreement to expel an MP to near-unanimity, to reduce the control a leader has over the fate of an individual MP. It also inserts new clause 7 and a new Schedule, inserting new Schedule 4 to provide a list of what qualifies as near-unanimity.
