An Act to amend “The Wellington College Act, 1872.”
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Wellington College Act 1872 Amendment Act, 1877.”
2 Governors of College.
Sir William Fitzherbert, K.C.M.G., and William Waring Taylor, Esquire, shall be Governors of the College until the expiration of ten years from the passing of “The Wellington College Act, 1872,”
subject to the provisions thereof.
3 Members for Wellington, Governors ex officio..
The members of the House of Representatives for the City of Wellington for the time being shall be Governors of the College ex officio.
4 Vacancy.
Whenever any Governor of the College, not being an ex officio Governor thereof, shall cease to be such Governor, the Governor in Council shall from time to time appoint a person to be a Governor thereof in place of the person so ceasing to be Governor.
