An Act to provide for the Management of the Wyndham Cemetery.

Preamble.

WHEREAS Section twenty-six, Block one, Wyndham Survey District, was, on the sixth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, granted to the Superintendent of Otago in trust for the purposes of a cemetery in the District of Wyndham: And whereas it is expedient to provide for the management of the same:

Be it therefore enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Wyndham Cemetery Act, 1878.”

2 Land described in Schedule to be public cemetery.

The land described in the Schedule shall be and shall continue to be a public cemetery.

3 First Trustees.

George Gibb Fyfe, Robert Archibald Elliot, John Brand, James Cushine, James Milne, and Donald Stalker are hereby appointed Trustees for the management of the said Cemetery, and shall hold office for three years from the first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, and no longer.

4 Otherwise under “Cemeteries Management Act, 1877.”

Except as hereinbefore provided, the said Cemetery shall be under the operation of “The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877.”

Schedule

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand, situate in the Wyndham District, being Section numbered twenty-six (26), Block one (I.), on the map of the said district, containing by admeasurement ten (10) acres and eighteen (18) poles, more or less. Bounded towards the North by Section numbered twenty-seven (27), three hundred and thirty (330) links; towards the East by Section numbered thirty-seven (37), one thousand five hundred and fifty-five (1555) links; towards the South by Section numbered twenty-five (25), one thousand and seventy-three (1073) links; and towards the West and North-west by two (2) road lines, one thousand eight hundred and ten (1810) links.
