An Act to alter and amend the Boundaries of the Alexandra Corporation Reserve.

Preamble.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council, dated the tenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine, a parcel of land was reserved out of the waste lands of the Provincial District of Otago for the purpose of granting the same to the Corporation of the Borough of Alexandra, under the provisions of the fiftieth section of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876:” And whereas it is desirable and expedient to amend and alter the boundaries thereof:

Be it therefore enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

The Short Title of this Act is “The Alexandra Corporation Reserve Act, 1879.”

2 Land to be set apart.

In lieu of the land reserved by the Order in Council aforesaid, the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby reserved out of the waste lands of the Provincial District of Otago for the purpose of granting the same to the Corporation of the Borough of Alexandra.

Schedule

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, situated in Block VII. Leaning Rock Survey District, and estimated to contain four hundred and ninety (490) acres, more or less. Commencing on the proposed railway line at a point due west of Trig. Station K; and bounded towards the North by a right line drawn due east and west through Trig. Station K to intersect a right line being the production of the north-eastern boundary of the Township of Alexandra; thence towards the North-east by a right line, being the production of the north-eastern boundary aforesaid, to the north corner of the Township of Alexandra aforesaid; thence towards the South-east by the said township to the proposed railway line; and towards the South-west by the proposed railway line to a point due west of Trig. Station K, the starting point: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the Survey Office, Dunedin.
