An Act to amend the Auckland Improvement Acts.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
The Short Title of this Act is “The Auckland Improvement Acts Amendment Act, 1882.”
2 Part of section 5, Act 1873, repealed.
Part of section five of “The Auckland Improvement Act, 1873,”
is hereby repealed, that is to say, the words following:—
“Instead of the militia store reserved by the Act of 1872, the Commissioners shall provide and fit up for the purposes of a militia store that stone building situate in the Albert Barracks, and known as the Hospital, such building and fittings to be satisfactory to the Governor, and such military store so reserved as aforesaid, together with the soil thereof, shall become vested in the Governor.”
3 Land and buildings vested in Corporation.
The land and buildings referred to in the foregoing section are hereby vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland, on the same terms and conditions as the lands and property transferred to them by “The Auckland Improvement Commissioners’ Transfer of Powers Act, 1879.”
Provided that Her Majesty, her heirs and successors, shall have the use and occupation of the said land and building until a militia store shall be erected on the land next hereinbefore mentioned, in accordance with plans already or hereafter to be approved by the Native Minister.
4 Land vested in Her Majesty.
The allotments or parcels of land described in the First Schedule to this Act are hereby vested absolutely in Her Majesty, her heirs and successors.
5 Use of drill-shed.
The use and occupation of the building known as the Volunteer Drillshed, standing on the land described in the Second Schedule to this Act, is hereby granted to and vested in Her Majesty so long as the same shall be required for military, militia, or volunteer purposes.
6 Use of land.
The use and occupation of the land described in the Second Schedule to this Act is hereby granted to and vested in the School Commissioners of the Auckland Provincial District so long as the same is required for a playground for the children attending a public school situate in Wellesley Street, in the City of Auckland,

Schedule FIRST SCHEDULE
All that parcel of land in the City of Auckland, being Lot sixteen of Subsection four, Section thirteen, City of Auckland, and containing by admeasurement one rood two perches, more or less. Bounded towards the North-east by Lot seventeen of Subsection four aforesaid, one hundred and fifty-seven links and five-tenths of a link; towards the South-east by Lot fifteen of Subsection four aforesaid, two hundred links; towards the South-west by Wellesley Street East, one hundred links; and towards the North-west by Park Street, two hundred and nine links and three-tenths of a link: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the Plan number three thousand and five, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.
Schedule SECOND SCHEDULE
All that parcel of land in the City of Auckland, being portion of Subsection five of Section thirty-two of the City of Auckland, containing by admeasurement two acres and twenty-eight perches, more or less. Bounded towards the Northeast by Lots ten to sixteen inclusive three hundred and seventy-six links and two-tenths of a link, by Lots seventeen to twenty-six inclusive four hundred and forty-nine links and five-tenths of a link, and by portion of Lot twenty-seven seven links and six-tenths of a link; towards the East by Lot thirty-three, eighty-one links and five-tenths of a link,—all the aforesaid lots being subdivision of Subsection five of Section thirty-two, City of Auckland; towards the South by a line, four hundred and fifty-one links, running generally ten feet from the southern boundary of Subsection five aforesaid; towards the South-west by a line, six hundred and eleven links, running generally ten feet from the southwestern boundary of the aforesaid Subsection five of Section thirty-two, City of Auckland; and towards the North-west by Lots three to eight inclusive of subdivision of Subsection five of section thirty-two, City of Auckland aforesaid, three hundred and six links; and towards the North by Lot ten of subdivision aforesaid, four links and five-tenths of a link: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan number three thousand and five, deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.
