The Short Title of this Act is The Stratford County Districts Adjustment Act 1891.

The above-recited Order in Council is hereby validated for all purposes, and shall be of the same effect as if it had been issued in accordance with all the provisions of the said Act, anything contained in such Order in Council to the contrary notwithstanding.

The following new road districts are hereby constituted within the Stratford County, that is to say:—

• (a.) So much of the Moa Road District formerly within the Taranaki County, and which is now included within the North Riding of the Stratford County, is hereby annexed to that portion of the Manganui Road District within the last-named county which lies within the aforesaid North Riding, and together shall form a new road district of the Stratford County, by the name of the Manganui Road District.

• (b.) So much of the aforesaid Manganui Road District as lies within the East Riding of the Stratford County is hereby merged in the said county, and with portions of Clifton and Patea Counties now included in Stratford County, shall form an outlying district thereof.

• (c.) So much of the Ngaire Road District as lies within the South Riding of the Stratford County is hereby constituted a new road district within the said county by the name of the Ngaire Road District.

• (d.) So much of the Waimate Road District formerly within the Hawera County, and which is now included within the West Riding of the Stratford County, together with that portion of the Ngaire Road District within the last-named county as lies within the aforesaid West Riding, shall be merged in the said Stratford County, and shall together form an outlying district thereof.

• (e.) All provisions of The Road Boards Act 1882, and of every other Act, shall apply in respect of the foregoing several new road districts constituted under this section as if they had respectively been constituted by the Stratford County Council, on petition, under section four of The Road Boards Act 1882.

So much of the former Waimate Road District as lies within the Hawera County, and so much of the former Moa Road District as lies within the Taranaki County, shall be deemed to be respectively road districts whose boundaries have been altered by the formation of new districts under section four of The Road Boards Act 1882, to which the provisions of section thirteen of the last-named Act shall be applicable, with this exception only: that it shall be optional with the Taranaki Council and Hawera County Council to respectively dissolve the Boards of such districts, and not imperative, as provided in the said section thirteen.

So much of the Ngaire Road District which is not included within the boundaries of the Stratford County is hereby merged in the Hawera County, and shall form part of the Eltham Riding of the last-mentioned county.
