An Act to enable the Corporation of the City of Dunedin to deal with the Surplus Profits of its Waterworks Account.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

The Short Title of this Act is “The Dunedin Waterworks Account Act, 1894.”

2 Interpretation.

In the interpretation hereof, “the said account” shall mean the separate account which the Council of the City of Dunedin is obliged by law to keep of water-rates, water-supply, and moneys accruing from waterworks.

3 Power to deal with surplus.

After making due provision for all sums with which the said account is by law charged, the Council of the City of Dunedin is hereby empowered to transfer from time to time any surplus remaining in the said account to the credit of the General Account of the Corporation of the said city.
