WHEREAS a certain piece of land specified in the Schedule hereto was acquired by the Mataura Town Board under “The Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1885,” in trust for the Mataura Pastoral Society: And whereas the district intended to come within the scope of the said society has been subdivided, and the object of the society has been taken up by other societies of an agricultural and pastoral nature: And. whereas the said Mataura Pastoral Society has ceased to exist: And whereas the said piece of land is not required for the purpose originally intended, and the same is situated in the Town (now Borough) of Mataura, and it is expedient the said piece of land should be utilised for the borough:
