An Act to authorise the Exchange of certain Lands in the Borough of Oamaru.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

The Short Title of this Act is “The Oamaru Volunteer Drill-shed Site Act. 1905.”

2 Lands exchanged.

The land described in the First Schedule hereto, and now vested in trustees in trust as a site for a drill-shed, is hereby vested in the Corporation of the Borough of Oamaru in trust for purposes of public utility for the inhabitants of the said borough; and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and now vested in the said Corporation in trust for purposes of public recreation, is hereby vested in the said trustees in trust as a site for a Volunteer drill-shed.

SCHEDULES

FIRST SCHEDULE

All that parcel of land in the Otago Land District, being part of Section Seven (7), Block Ninety-five (XCV.), Town of Oamaru, containing by admeasurement one (1) rood twenty-seven (27) perches, more or less. Bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north side of Steward Street distant two hundred and fifty and one-tenth (250·1) links measured along the northern side of the said street from its junction with Thames Street; and proceeding thence north-westerly along the north side of the said Steward Street, bearing north 70° 3’ 30” west for a distance of two hundred and thirty-one (231) links; thence north-easterly bearing north 32° 10’ east for a distance of two hundred and four and six-tenths (204·6) links; thence south-easterly bearing south 70° 3’ 30” east for a distance of one hundred and eighty-seven and seven-tenths (187·7) links; thence south-westerly bearing south 19°56’ 30” west for a distance of two hundred (200) links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less.

SECOND SCHEDULE

All that parcel of land in the Otago Land District, being part of Section Eight (8), Block Ninety-five (XCV.), Town of Oamaru, containing by admeasurement one (1) rood twenty-two (22) perches, more or less. Bounded by a line commencing at a point on the northern side of Itchen Street distant four hundred and thirty and nine-tenths (430 9) links measured along the northern side of the said Itchen Street from its junction with Severn Street; thence north-easterly bearing north 33° 33’ 30” east for a distance of two hundred and forty-six (246) links; thence south-easterly bearing south 56° 26’ 30” east for a distance of ninety-four and three-tenths (94·3) links; thence again south-easterly bearing south 39° 45’ east for a distance of sixty-nine and six-tenths (69·6) links; thence south-westerly bearing south 33° 33’ 30” west for a distance of two hundred and twenty-six (226) links to the northern side of Itchen Street; and thence north-westerly along the northern side of the said Itchen Street for a distance of one hundred and sixty-one (161) links to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less.
