An Act to transfer Land in Town of Havelock, Otago.

Preamble.

WHEREAS Sections Nos. 3, 4, and 5, Block XX, Town of Havelock, in the Land District of Otago, are a reserve for an athenӕum: And whereas they are no longer required for that purpose, and it is desirable that the said land should be added to the Waitahuna School site:

Be it therefore enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

The Short Title of this Act is “The Havelock Athenӕum and Mechanics’ Institute Incorporation Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1906.”

2 Land to vest in Education Board.

The purpose for which Sections 3, 4, and 5 aforesaid were reserved is hereby changed from a site for an athenӕum to that of a school-site, and the said land is hereby vested in the Education Board of the District of Otago.

3 Repeal.

“The Havelock Athenӕum and Mechanics’ Institute Incorporation Act, 1877,” is hereby amended by repealing the words “Sections 3, 4, and 5 of Block XX” in the Schedule thereto.
