An Act to revest certain Portions of Native Land in the Original Owners thereof.
Preamble.
WHEREAS land for a road was taken in pursuance of section one hundred and six of the Native Land Act, 1873, through certain blocks of Native land situated in the Kidnapper Survey District, in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay: And whereas it is now found that a more suitable line of road can be laid off by deviations through the said blocks in proximity to the above-mentioned road: And whereas it is expedient accordingly to close certain portions of the first-mentioned road and to vest the same in the original owners or their successors in title:
Be it therefore enacted by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Waipuka Block Road Revesting Act, 1908.
2 Certain portion of Waipuka Block Road closed, and title revested in former owners.
Those portions of the said road which are described in the Schedule hereto are hereby closed, and shall be deemed never to have been taken for the purposes of a road, and the title thereto is hereby vested and shall be deemed at all times to have been vested in the several persons in whom for the time being it would have been vested had the said land never been so taken.
Schedule
All that parcel of land situated in the Kidnapper Survey District, containing 87 acres 1 rood 0·09 perches, and being part of Waipuka No. 3 Blocks V and VIII.
All that parcel of land situated in the Kidnapper Survey District, containing 9 acres 1 rood 23 perches, and being part of Waipuka No. 2 Block X.
All that parcel of land situated in the Kidnapper Survey District, containing 3 roods 28 perches, and being part of Waimarama No. 3 Block X.
As the said several parcels of land are more particularly delineated and described on the plans marked L. and S. 19366/84, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
