An Act to close a Portion of a Public Road known as “The Strand,”
Reefton, and vest the same in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Inangahua as a Public Reserve for Recreation Purposes.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Reefton Recreation Reserve Act, 1909.
2 Land vested in County of Inangahua as a public reserve.
From and after the passing of this Act the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto shall—
(a.)
Cease to be a public road:
(b.)
Become and be vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Inangahua as a public reserve for recreation purposes.
Schedule
All that parcel of land, situate in the Town of Reefton, containing 4 acres or thereabouts, being portion of a public road known as “The Strand”
: commencing from a point 100 links southerly from the south-eastern corner of section numbered 64 on the plan of the said Town of Reefton; thence in a southerly direction, bearing 183° 31′, distance 50 links; thence in a south-westerly direction, bearing 255° 10′, distance 918T links; thence in a north-westerly direction, bearing 287° 28′ 30″, distance 1400·7 links; thence easterly, bearing 93° 31′, distance 2230·6 links, to the commencing-point: and being Section 1338, Block XIV, Reefton Survey District.
