An Act to amend the Tuakitoto and Kaitangata Lakes Act, 1911.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

This Act may be cited as the Tuakitoto and Kaitangata Lakes Amendment Act, 1914, and it shall form part of and be read together with the Tuakitoto and Kaitangata Lakes Act, 1911 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Principal Act amended.

Section nine of the principal Act is hereby amended by adding the following provisoes thereto:—

“Provided that it shall be lawful for each of the aforesaid Councils to pay the said rents or any part thereof to any person as the consideration or part of the consideration for reclaiming the whole or any portion of the said lands respectively:

“Provided further that such person shall apply the rents arising from the portion of the said lands so reclaimed by him in manner provided by this section, and any moneys then remaining from the said rents shall be retained by such person for his own use.”
