An Act to amend the Waimakariri Harbour District and Empowering Act, 1916.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

This Act may be cited as the Waimakariri Harbour District and Empowering Amendment Act, 1917, and it shall form part of and be read together with the Waimakariri Harbour District and Empowering Act, 1916 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

2 Special Act.

This Act shall be deemed a special Act within the meaning of the Harbours Act, 1908.

3 Amending principal Act.

Section seven of the principal Act is hereby amended by deleting the words “five pounds five shillings” in the third line thereof, and substituting the words “five pounds ten shillings” in lieu thereof.

4 Schedule of principal Act amended.

The Schedule to the principal Act, comprising description of district, shall be amended by deleting the words “The Borough of Rangiora,” being the second area therein described.
