An Act to empower the Wellington City Council to raise a Special Loan in connection with its Abattoir

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Short Title.

This Act may be cited as the Wellington City Abattoir Loan Act, 1919.

2 Power to raise loan in respect of abattoir.

The Wellington City Council may raise a special loan of not more than fifteen thousand pounds under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, by special order, and without taking the steps described under sections eight to twelve of that Act, for the following purposes:—

(a.)

For recouping all moneys expended prior to the raising of the loan out of or owing to District Fund for capital expenditure and preliminary expenses in connection with the abattoir:

(b.)

For extensions and additions of the present abattoir buildings and plant.
