An Act to amend the Auckland Electric-power Board Act, 1921–22.
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
1 Short Title.
This Act may be cited as the Auckland Electric-power Board Amendment Act, 1926, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Auckland Electric-power Board Act, 1921–22 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).
2 Amendment of section 89 of the principal Act.
Section eighty-nine of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, after the words “installation thereof,”
the following words: “together with interest at the rate of six per centum per annum on the total sum until payment thereof,”
and by adding thereto the following subsections:—
“(2.)
Without prejudice to the provisions of the preceding subsection and the charge thereby created the Board may, within six months from the time when the amount payable under such preceding subsection has been ascertained, cause a notice of such charge under the hand of the Clerk to be registered against the title to such land, whether under the Land Transfer Act, 1915, or not.
“(3.)
Every notice under this section shall be accepted for registration by the District Land Registrar or other proper officer.
“(4.)
On full satisfaction of such charge the Board shall register a notice of such satisfaction.”
